Realism

The origins of this style of Art reflects in the 19th century that has been a positive age. It was origin from a group of artists, writers and intellectuals in the late 1840`.The most artist paintings where about politics and slaves these times.
They used realism to show there problems issues through political problems and other artist used the Realism to paint scene of urban landscape of life or portraits of nudes. They used to make the painting very realistic that used to show there life. By this period artist used this movement so they can make a particular light in the society to show how cruel there life was and how much unfair it was.
In there paintings they used to show as well reflecting surface, shadow, light and as much details as possible foe both still-life or live views interpretation to show the object that the artist wanted to create.

French realism grow in the times social and political difficulty in the early 1848 in the third revolution that had taken place in Paris. Then In the `19 century Courbet art caused a lot of controversy because they came  against the academic. From there , then they where expected to be pleasant and work so they can live in town.

This is a painting of Gustave Courbet - The Stone Breakers that is made with oil on canvas. 
It is made in a sketchy way and it shows a lot of focus too the tow men that are working to show the effect by this he made a plain background. These two figures are breaking and removing the stone from the rode that had been built. They used to be forced to make some work that they didn`t want to do that time.

Then this painting of Millet  is showing two figures of  normal people that are working in a farm with a men on a horse watching them working from far away. The painter used a lot of meaning in this painting with  his brushwork,composition , line and color.









In these two painting there are the same meaning during the 19`th century that the artist used the way of painting  to reject to the life that they had been through.

Then There where the paintings of the nudes that used idealism forms that had been interpreted of the ugly work.
