Exhibition of Fine Art in The National Museum of Fine Art

Visit on the 8 April .
This is an exhibition of Fine Art that that respresnt European artistic style made by Maltese artists that is made in The National Museum of Fine Art  .We can see a  range of Italian art and there are some of the painting made by the artist Mattia Preti but there are also paintings from other periods.
In this exhibition there where sculptures, landscape, portraits in different styles.



1 / The Mother and The Child [19 Century]

This is a three-dimensional sculpture that represent The Mother and The Child. It has a strong It has a strong line around the mother and it is formed by the mantel. This is forming a triangular shape and makes a good effect. It showing an exterior contur as it is a 3D sculpture. Here linearity shows a lot also and  it is made by the light and dark.
As a sculpture I liked it because it shows a sens of feeling between the mother and her child. I saw it like a message that she is never going to live him. It also impressed me the detail that is made on the mother and the child and how it was worked. It think that it is one of the best 3-D work of how the artist showed the feelings. 

2 / Crossing The Brook made by Giuseppe Cali

It is a two-dimensional painting in fine art style made on canvas.This painting has a strong pointliness effect between the girl and the background . It also shows a lot of focus by putting the girl on a spot as a main focus by that. As a texture is is very smooth and has a nice blending with color in detail.It also has a strong effect of chiaro scuro.
I liked this painting because it shows a bit of the romanticism style made by the way of the girl is dressed and how he made the effect shows. 

3 / Wedding Processing made by Gianni Vella

This is a painting made in a fine art style made by the artist Gianni Vella . It is an oil on canvas in a two-dimensional way and it is made with a colorfull and bright colors. As a painting it express a feeling of happyness and this is expressed by the people expressions. As a painting has a 3-dimensional effect that is made also with dark and light tones.
This is one of the painting that I liked in this exhibition the most because it has a sense of happy family feeling that are celebrating the wedding. It is a nice painting for me not for the details but how the people are made in normal life as smiling not always as posing.

4 /  Patio delas Munecas at The Alcazor made by Capell Jose` Montenegro 

As a painting this is two-dimensional and it is made by the artist Cappell Jose`Montenegro.It has a  strong light and dark effect made with a very well detailed designs on the building.As an effect of light is coming from the left corner.Also the designs are all different but are made with a lot of thinking.
This painting I liked it because it has the designs are very different and detailed. A focus there is the small plant that is showing more interest.

5 / Neo-Classical vases , Late 18 century , Porcelain

This are two porcelain pieces of vases from the late 18 century. These have small designs in the center of the vase and in the other it has also some text written. It has a very shiny and smooth texture . The designs are made with black , and by this is shows more contrast by the design.
I liked this painting because the design are very detailed. They are also interesting because one has a the figures and the other has writing written describing the figures.
